The Trophies of the Victorious DNC of 1972.

They became double champions in that year by winning both the National Championship and Gan League.

Considering the level of football played in Male in those days, Gan League would be tougher. Thirteen teams played including DNC and ASA of Hithadhoo.

DNC sent two of their players, Mufeed and Hussain Thaufeeq, to take part in the match played between a Maldivian team and a team from the ship, Britannia, specially organized in honor of the visiting British queen Elizabeth II. Maldivian team won the match by 2-1 winning the Queen’s Trophy, one of the cups in the picture.
